Speaker: Dr. Mike Cohen, Senior Analyst at the Galilee Institute

JAM and Hasbara Fellowships present Dr. Mike Cohen. While in the United States, Dr. Cohen is scheduled to be briefing Jewish, Christian, Student and Zionist leaders on the issues of the day including the security ramifications of the recent withdrawal from Gaza, the illness of PM Sharon, the Palestinian Authority election results, Iranian nuclear development and Syrian unconventional warfare capabilities as well as explaining the lay of the land before the upcoming Israeli elections.

Official dances of Israel right here in Gainesville! Learn line, circle, and couples dances to the latest hits being played on radio stations across Israel. Its a great exercise that taps into Jewish and Israeli culture. No prior experience needed, just comfortable clothes and a good attitude.

Shabbat 1000’s goal is to get 1000 of University of Florida’s Jewish students to celebrate Shabbat together as a community. Opportunities to get involved include a variety of Friday night Shabbat services held at different locations (Hillel, Chabad, AEPi, & Campus Lodge), “Shabbat in a Box” kits to be handed out for Free in Turlington Plaza the week before, concluding with a Havdallah service followed by a social at Venue Nightclub.
