Photoshop and I go way back. I started using the program in middle school for odd jobs here and there, but chiefly as an aid for designing images for Web sites. Gradually I discovered all that makes Photoshop glorious and started using it for touching up pictures, livening up school reports, designing t-shirts and editing video. Over time, I realized a need for more advanced imaging software to achieve graphics that went beyond images and simple text. Photoshop's pen tool provided me with sophisticated drawing abilities needed for advanced shapes. I applied my knowledge of Adobe's software setup and common tools when beginning to explore Adobe Illustrator. The program helped me take my designs further and accomplish unique effects that Photoshop lacked. Today, I use Photoshop and Illustrator probably more than any other computer programs I have, which is why I most often run Windows on my MacBook Pro (current versions of Adobe CS2 software do not run well on Intel Macs, though the release of CS3 in late March promises to fix this).
