The
Helen Witty Memorial Criterium
On June 1, 2000, the world lost an angel. The Helen Witty Memorial is in
memory of Helen Witty, a Palmetto High School thespian, who was killed
by a drunk driver while roller blading. The Helen Witty Scholarship Fund
was created in her memory providing a scholarship annually to a selected
thespian who demonstrates the excitement for life that Helen Witty
lived. All proceeds from the Helen Witty Memorial Criterium will benefit
the Helen Witty Scholarship Fund.
Time:
Registration and Rider Sign-in opens at 6:30 AM. First group off at
7:00AM.
Location:
Miami Palmetto Senior High School in Pinecrest, Florida (124th Street
and 77th Avenue). From I-95, take US1 south. Turn Left on 124th Street.
Head straight till you see signs for event. Parking at the High School.
Course: 1.5 mile loop.

These Races will be
run on a "Miss-n-Out" or "Devil Take the Hindmost" format where the last
rider(s) to cross the line after each (or every other) lap is taken out
of the race. The Chief Referee will announce the specifications for the
"Miss-n-Out" before the start of the race.
Entry Fee:
Free for Future Champions (Under 15), $30 for Pros, $5 for Juniors and
$25 for all other Riders. $20 for Second Race.
Registration:
You may register in advance online at www.active.com.
Race Packet Pickup:
Riders may pick up their race packets at the Ride for Hope registration
desk from 6:30 a.m. onwards on Sunday, May 25. Race packets will include
your race numbers and a race booklet with the course map and rules.
